NSW Budget update

The NSW Government handed down its 2025–26 Budget earlier this week.  

The Budget confirmed energy bill relief for small businesses through the energy rebate of up to $150 for eligible businesses, to be applied automatically to bills between July and December 2025. There was also a continued focus on technology and innovation, including investments delivered as part of the innovation blueprint package. 

Beyond the Budget, small businesses may still be able to access a range of existing support programs. Businesses can apply for recovery grants of up to $25,000 to help with the costs of clean-up, repairs and reopening. The NSW Government and other grant funders also continue to offer targeted funding to support businesses in specific industries or for specific purposes – see Grant finder to see what assistance may be available. 

The NSW Small Business Commission can also assist with a range of matters including dispute resolution and advocacy, while the Service NSW Business Bureau can assist with a range of NSW Government transactions and support.
