There are 765,000 small businesses in NSW. They employ 1.59 million people, which is 44% of those who live and work in NSW. They make up 98% of all business. They're the backbone of our economy.
The role of the NSW Small Business Commissioner is to help resolve issues affecting small businesses across the state and influence meaningful change.
We speak up and advocate for small businesses and provide resources, strategic advice and free to low cost mediation to tens of thousands of small businesses each year.
“Small businesses are the engine room of the NSW economy. They employ nearly half the NSW workforce and represent around 98% of the state’s businesses. Without small business, our communities would be diminished beyond recognition.”Robyn Hobbs OAM,
NSW Small Business Commissioner
