A month to celebrate small business
This NSW Small Business Month we are celebrating the success and resilience of small businesses across the State.
The fourth annual event runs throughout October and includes 400 hundred free and low-cost events to help small businesses reboot, connect and recover.
NSW Small Business Commissioner Chris Lamont said small businesses had demonstrated their entrepreneurship and resilience in what has been an extremely challenging year.
“Many small businesses have faced unprecedented obstacles over the past year –the worst drought on record, summer bushfires, floods and now the COVID pandemic,” Mr Lamont said.
“It’s been tough for many, but I have been impressed by the creativity, resourcefulness and determination of many small business owners who have been giving it their all to get through these challenging times.
“I encourage all NSW small businesses to check out the support, advice and information that is on offer as part of the NSW Small Business Month festival.
“It is also a great opportunity for all of us to celebrate the great contribution made by the small businesses of NSW to the state’s economy and the social fabric of our local communities.”
This year 219 local councils and chambers of commerce, as well as more than 180 festival partners, are involved in Small Business Month.
