Welcoming the new NSW Small Business Commissioner

Ms Kalina Koloff has commenced as the NSW Small Business Commissioner. With extensive experience across government, regional engagement and economic development, Ms Koloff will lead efforts to support and advocate for small businesses across New South Wales.
Ms Koloff joins the Commission having recently served as the NSW Cross-Border Commissioner, where she worked closely with businesses, communities and government agencies to address practical challenges affecting regional economies and service delivery. Her experience navigating complex policy environments and building partnerships across jurisdictions will support the Commission’s work in reducing barriers for business operators across the state.
With a career spanning senior leadership roles across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, Ms Koloff brings expertise in stakeholder engagement, economic resilience and regional development. As a small business owner, Ms Koloff, understands the challenges faced by small businesses and the important role small business plays to support thriving local communities.
The NSW Small Business Commission advocates for small businesses, delivering low-cost dispute resolution and helping improve the regulatory environment in which businesses operate. Under Ms Koloff’s leadership, the Commission will continue to support growth and champion the interests of small businesses across NSW.
