The Office of the NSW Small Business Commissioner, in partnership with the NSW Business Chamber, launched the Small Business Friendly Councils (SBFC) Program in September 2014. Currently, 76 local councils in NSW have joined the Program demonstrating their commitment to their local small business community.

Small Business Friendly Councils Conferences

A series of six Small Business Friendly Councils conferences were held across NSW in April and May. By attending one of the Small Business Friendly Council Program conferences local councils had the opportunity to share programs, ideas and success stories with other participating councils.

The North Sydney conference was hosted by the NSW Business Chamber and the following five Small Business Friendly Councils also hosted a conference:

  • Ballina Shire City Council
  • Tamworth Regional Council
  • Goulburn Mulwaree Council
  • City of Sydney
  • Camden Council
