How we can help your business

We can provide practical support to small businesses in a number of ways:

  • If you need help to work through problems with other businesses or government, we can help you to find a solution. This service is free and confidential. If needed, formal mediation can be arranged at a subsidised rate.
  • We can assist small businesses with issues in relation to insurance and regulatory concerns.
  • If you need help, but don’t know who to talk to, we can connect you to the right support services.

Financial support packages

Loans of up to $130,000 are available (subject to certain eligibility criteria), at a concessional interest rate for primary producers in urgent need. These loans may be used to meet carry-on requirements and the replacement and repair of damage not covered by insurance.

Relief grants - Category C funding

Small businesses that have suffered direct damage from the floods in designated areas within Lismore and Murwillumbah can now access Category ‘C’ funding. The relief grants are jointly provided by the Commonwealth and NSW Government to assist with clean up and immediate restoration costs as a result of the floods.

Free mobile advisory service

Business Connect offers a free mobile advisory service to small businesses. An advisor can meet you at a convenient place and discuss your business needs.  Advice is offered about managing cash flow, planning the next steps, accessing financial support schemes and connecting to addition support.
